"We got married during the December 2013 ice storm. The one where we got 6 inches of ice and snow on our wedding day! We were traveling to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon and our travel agent recommended we get travel insurance in October and we said sure, never thinking we would use it. I mean it never really snows at the front of December right? Well our flight got canceled from Atlanta to Puerto Rico due to the snow storm and because we had travel insurance we were able to get a night of lodging in Atlanta that was reimbursed and we were able to change our dates for our trip. This really got me thinking when I got a phone call from my daughters after school program on Tuesday and they said that she had broken her arm. The doctor is pretty sure we will not have to reschedule our Disney trip but you never know what could happen so it's always important to consider getting travel insurance." - KIM MATHES
